School Profile
Parkview Elementary School is located in Granby, Quebec and serves the municipalities of Granby, St-Alphonse-de-Granby, St. Césaire, St. Paul d’Abbotsford, Ste-Cécile-de-Milton, Roxton Falls, Roxton Pond and Shefford.
The school building itself dates from 1940 and has undergone many renovation projects since. It was formerly Granby High School, and when Massey Vanier Regional High school opened its doors in the Fall of 1969, the school became Parkview Elementary School with Mr. William Munroe remaining at the helm as Principal. It was one of the many elementary schools belonging to the District of Bedford School Board, and is now a part of the Eastern Townships School Board.
Parkview Elementary is very fortunate to be the beneficiary of a trust fund bequeathed by Mr. John Bradford. This fund allows the school to invest in projects and programs that enrich its student’s educational experience as per Mr. Bradford’s wishes.
Enrolment for 2020-2021 is 394 students from KDG4 to Grade 6. For the first time this year, Parkview School is proud to have two groups of K4, four KDG groups, four Gr. 1 groups, two Gr. 2 groups, one Gr. 2-3 split, one Gr. 3-4 split, two groups in Grades 3, 4, 5, and 6.
